Synopsis:

Adaptation of Patricia Highsmith’s novel Price of Salt about two women of different origin who start a love affair in New York in the 1950’s. Twenty-year old Therese Belivet is a salesgirl on Manhattan who dreams of a fulfilled life when she meets Carol, an attractive woman trapped in a marriage without love.
