Synopsis:
This is a film adaptation of true story about John Merrick, called the elephant man due to his physical deformation. Living in the Victorian era, he was a victim of ignorance and prejudice. He spent his life displayed at fairs as a freak attraction. When he meets Dr Frederick Treves he finally gets the freedom and respect he deserves as a human being.
