Synopsis:
The storyplot takes place in Catalonia, in the period after the Civil War. We follow an eleven-year-old boy Andreu who discovers the bodies of an adult man and his son at the foot of a cliff. As it happens, Andreu's father gets blamed for their death. Fearing that he would be found guilty, the father flees. Andreu is sent to live with relatives, but he tries to find the true culprit.
The film won nine Goya awards including those in categories for Best Film, Director and Adapted Screenplay, and was selected as the Spanish representative for the Oscar in the category Best Foreign Language Film (also first ever selected Catalan film).
