This is a powerful film about two women and their dignity. Joanna is a former factory worker who is now in prison, while Claudine still works in the factory. Djelić neba harshly depicts the unjust system and calls out for a rebellion…This is a film with outstanding performances, especially that of Séverine Caneele, who won an award for the best actress at the international film festival in Buenos Aires. The film was also shown in Cannes in 2002 as part of the selected program Un Certain Regard.
