Synopsis:
On the train from Lisbon to Algarve, young and unhappy Macário tells his life story to the middle-aged passenger. He has a comfortable life in Lisbon working as an accountant for his uncle, who owns a textile shop. One day, on the window opposite from his, he saw a beautiful blond girl and immediately fell in love with. He met her and proposed to her hoping for a happy future. Finding this out, instead of giving him his blessing, his uncle fired him.
In 2010, the lead actress won the Portuguese Golden Globe.
