Synopsis:

Road film about the flow of time and memory. During the 1970’s young Yugoslav cinematographer travelled with an 8mm camera through the valleys of Vojvodina and its sleepy rural areas. What we have left from those trips are only fragments. Forty years later, young Slovenian director Matjaž Ivanišin repeats the same trip as a sort of an hommage to the now famous and esteemed director Godina. He uses the rare original fragments and talks to the villagers who still remember the old director’s visit.

The structure of Ivanišin’s film is divided in five parts and each focuses on the local character of different villages. With its many time and space layers, the film functions as a sort of a painful meditation on the culture of villages in former Yugoslavia.
