Synopsis:
A poor peasant finds that he is descended from one of the most distinguished British families. His beautiful daughter, Tess, goes to visit their last remaining relative from the d'Urbervilles family at their luxurious estate. While there, she is raped and so returns home in shame. After she falls in love with Angelo Clare, she has to learn how to accept her shameful past and the uncertain future…
