Director

Adolfsson is a Swedish director and screenwriter. She graduated in directing and screenplay writing from the Swedish Drama Institute in 2007. She made her debut with the feature film Nära huden (2005), which she directed while in college. She directed several short films and worked as assistant director on many feature films. Her feature-length debut is the drama Young Sophie Bell (Unga Sophie Bell), which she wrote and directed in 2014.

Synopsis:

Best friends, young Sophie and Alice are growing up in a picturesque Swedish village dreaming of going into the world. After their graduation they plan to move to Berlin together. After a fight during which Alice accuses Sophie of being a coward, their plans fall through. Alice leaves with her boyfriend, and Sophie spends the next week trying to contact her. She soon learns that her friend mysteriously vanished and then died in Berlin and tries to find out what really happened. She goes to Berli...
