Kamondi (1960) is a Hungarian director and screenwriter who graduated from the Academy of Drama and Film in 1988. He made his feature film debut with Halálutak és angyalok (Paths of Death and Angels, 1991). Afterwards, he made Alkimista és a szüz, Az (The Alchemist and the Virgin, 1999) and Kísértések (Temptations, 2002), which brought him the award for Best Director at Hungarian Film Week in 2002. He has also made documentaries and directed successful theatre plays.

Synopsis:

Anna, a bank clerk, is the main character Marci's single mother. Marci is a talented math student with a bright future, but he himself does not seem to care much about it. Marci is obsessed with a wish to find his father and his own place in this world. During his search, he meets a ten-year-old Gypsy, Juli, who joins him on his way…
