Kamondi (1960) is a Hungarian director and screenwriter who graduated from the Academy of Drama and Film in 1988. He made his feature film debut with
Halálutak és angyalok (Paths of Death and Angels, 1991). Afterwards, he made
Alkimista és a szüz, Az (The Alchemist and the Virgin, 1999) and
Kísértések (Temptations, 2002), which brought him the award for Best Director at Hungarian Film Week in 2002. He has also made documentaries and directed successful theatre plays.
