Synopsis:
This is a film about the life of the first Croatian female composer, Dora Pejačević. The setting is the crazy twenties in Zagreb. On a rainy night, Karlo Armano, a cabaret artist and film amateur, meets Dora, an unknown provincial girl, and spends with her a night filled with magic. The next day, the girl is gone. Soon, he discovers that Cinderella is actually a princess – countess Pejačević...
Film won four Golden Arenas at the festival in Pula. In the book '101 years of film in Croatia' Ivo Škrabalo concluded that Countess Dora 'was undoubtedly one of aesthetically most valuable films made after Croatia's independence and belonged to the most positive part of Croatian film balance sheet of the 1990s'.
