Synopsis:
Erika Kohut is a piano teacher at the Conservatory in Vienna. In her late thirties she still lives with her old and tyrannical mother. In such a closed world of love, hate and addiction there is no space for men. Erika’s sex life consists of voyeurism and masochist self-inflicted wounding. One of her students decides to seduce her… Isabelle Huppert and Benoît Magimel won the awards as best actors at the Cannes film festival, and Haneke won the jury award.
