Synopsis:

This is a contemporary interpretation of the novel Porodica Malavoglia by Verga, planned as the first part of a trilogy (due to its commercial failure the other two parts were never made). The Earth Trembles is the story of exploited fishermen from Sicily who are forced to migrate to richer northern Italy.
