Synopsis:
Ovidiu Gorea is an exhausted teacher in his mid forties who still lives with his parents. He tried to be a writer but was unsuccessful. When he realizes he is attracted to the sister of one of his students, he sees that he has nothing to impress her with. He accidently finds out about the Filantropica Foundation from a beggar. It is a well linked system for begging guaranteeing the users decent profit. In order to raise money, he decides to become a part of it.

Synopsis:
Vlad and Vika are newlyweds whose financial situations isn't so great. He is a musical conductor living in Bucharest where Vika came to study music from Moldavia. With Vlad's widowed mother and uncle Johnny they go to see Vika's family. Her father is an esteemed Moldavian poet, but the questions is how will the family accept their Romanian son in law.

Synopsis:
Sixty-year-old Emilia is living a quiet life with her husband Tucu in the Romanian rural area. Her daughter who lives in Canada is coming to visit them with her fiancée, an American called Alan. The parent are very happy about the visit, but something else interesting is awaiting. Emilia, famous for her nostalgia for communism, has been invited to take part in a documentary on the festivities commemorating the anniversary of the revolution in 1989.

Synopsis:
Unexpected news on receiving a medal for the services in World War II will encourage the 75-year-old retired man Ion to question his gloomy life. His wife Nina, who he lives with, hasn't spoken a word to him in six years. The situation is the same with his son Cornel who emigrated to Canada and they haven't had any contact since. He doesn't remember what he did that deserves a medal, but he sees it as an opportunity to redeem himself.
