Synopsis:

Pálfi’s feature film debut shows life in a small community in Hungary without using dialogue. Instead of using the usual verbal dialogue, the director opted only for gestures and facial expressions, while the sounds in the background are ordinary everyday sounds interrupted by the hiccupping of an old man waiting for a bus.

After the Day Before

Synopsis:

This is a thriller with a complex structure whose main character is a stranger who arrives to a town which has its own rules. Upon learning that he has inherited a house, a gentleman in a suit and tie goes to look at his inheritance. A truck driver gives the stranger a ride to his new house and warns him not to count on any of the neighbors’ help.

White Palms

The film was shot in a documentary style with actors who are professional gymnasts and it is, in fact, an autobiographical story about the director and his older brother Zoltán Miklós Hajdu, a professional gymnast and coach. Both of them were gymnasts from an early age, and this film shows the “life behind the scenes” of professional gymnasts.
