Synopsis:

The classic film by Bernardo Bertolucci about a relationship between a man and a woman who engage in an anonymous adventure with sado-masochistic elements. Paul is a middle-aged American living in Paris while trying to deal with the recent suicide of his wife. A young engaged French woman, Jeanne meets him during her search for an apartment and they begin a brief adventure.
