Alberto Rodríguez

Alberto Rodríguez Librero is a Spanish director and screenwriter. In 2000, he directed his first film, crime comedy El factor Pilgrim. His next film was the humorous drama El traje (2002), and with his crime comedy 7 vírgenes (2005) he attracted the attention of a wider audience as well as critics. After his drama After (2009) he directed several episodes of a TV series. Afterwards, he returned to film with the action thriller Grupo 7 (2012). He achieved his first bigger success with the thriller Marshland (La isla mínima, 2014), which was compared to the TV series True Dettective, even though it was made before the more famous series. This film won several awards (best director) including the Goya award and the Feroz Zinemaldia award at the International Film Festival in San Sebastian. He directed the short feature comedy Las pequeñas cosas (2016) starring Jean Reno and his last feature length film is the biographical thriller El hombre de las mil caras (2016).
