Director

After a three-year study of engineering, he gives up that profession and travels to London, where he studies film at Westminster University.

In 2000, he returned to Croatia to shoot films and continue his film directing studies at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb.

He received the award for the best young director at the Days of Croatian Film in 2000 for the documentary film Godine hrđe. He directed the short documentary Una storia polesana (1998), and he also shoots dedicated films and music videos.

Synopsis:

Dokumentarni film o radnicima pulskog Uljanika koji rade najopasniji i najteži posao u brodogradnji: antikorozivnu zaštitu. Svakodnevno okruženi dimom, plinovima, hrđom i ostalim opasnostima oni rade iscrpljujući posao, izolirani od vanjskoga svijeta, ali ne i od nadređenih koji ih beskrupulozno iskorištavaju.

Hotel Pula

Synopsis:

The year is 1995. Mahir (38) is a refugee from Bosnia and has been living in Pula for several years, in a hotel named after the city. His days are monotonous and empty, and his past is unknown. One warm night at the beginning of summer, Mahir first sees Una, a young Polish girl, on the beach not far from the hotel. That sudden meeting will awaken hope in him.
