Zabou Breitman was born on October 30, 1959 in Paris. As an actress, she
appeared on television, in films, and in theatre. As a four year old, she acted
in the TV series Thierry La Fronde. She began her film career in 1981 in
the film Elle voit des nains partout (directed by Jean-Claude Sussfeld).
Afterwards, she appeared in Banzaď (directed by Claude Zidi, 1982) and
Gwendoline (directed by Just Jaeckin, 1983). She acted in the theatre play
Le Retour du héros (1983). Later on, she continued to act in many
television projects and films, among which Une Femme ou deux (directed by
Daniel Vigne, 1984), Billy the Kick (directed by Gérard Mordillat, 1985),
Dandin (directed by Roger Planchon, 1987), Moitié Moitié (directed
by Paul Boujenah, 1988), La Baule les Pins (directed by Diane Kurys,
1989) are the most famous. In 1992 she appeared in the theatre play Cuisine
et Dépendances (authors: Jean-Pierre Bacri and Agnčs Jaoui) and a year later
in its film adaptation directed by Philippe Muyl. Thereafter she appeared in
more than twenty roles in both film and television. In 2001 she directed her
first feature film Se souvenir des belles choses which won many awards and praises.
