Heitor Dhalia

Dhalia is a Brazilian director and screenwriter. Before entering the world of film he worked in advertising. He directed the feature animated film Nina (2004) before directing his feature film Drained (O Cheiro do Ralo, 2006). Afterwards he made the drama Adrift (À deriva, 2009), and he is currently filming the thriller Gone (2012) in the US.

Synopsis:

In the 1980’s fourteen year old Filipa spends a summer vacation with her family on the coast. Even though at first glance they look happy, she feels that something is wrong between her father and mother. In her father’s desk she finds a photograph of another woman and realizes that he is having an affair with a foreigner who lives close by. At the same time, Filipa is discovering her own sexuality.
