Lukas Dhont

Born in Belgium in 1991. Graduated in Audiovisual Arts from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent (KASK). In 2016, he participated in the Cannes Cinéfondation Residence program with the script for his debut feature Girl (2018). The film was then shown in Un Certain Regard section at Cannes and was the Camera d’Or for Best First Feature. Close is his second narrative feature.

Synopsis:

Thirteen-year-old Léo and Rémi are best friends who spend all of their time together, playing near the magical fields of dahlias grown by Léo’s family.
