Durant is a Peruvian director and screenwriter. In 1968, he received a scholarship for Rice University in Houston and graduated with a degree in economics after four years. In his final year at college he got interested in film and made two experimental films. In 1975, he enrolled in the International Film School in London and graduated after two years. He directed
