Javier Fesser

Fesser is a director, screenwriter and editor, born as Javier Fesser Pérez de Petinto. He graduated in communications from the University of Madrid and founded the company Linea Films in 1986. He started making his first short films in the mid 1990’s. His feature-length debut was the comedy The Miracle of P. Tinto (El milagro de P. Tinto, 1998). He carried on making short films, and after five years he made his second feature-length, another comedy Mortadelo & Filemon: The Big Adventure (La gran aventura de Mortadelo y Filemón, 2003). He took part in the documentary omnibus Every so often in the World (En el mundo a cada rato 2004) by a few Spanish directors about the children of the third world. His following feature film was Camino (2008) which received six Goya awards: for best film, best director, original script, best young actress, best supporting actor and best lead actress. After taking part in another omnibus Everyone Dies at the End (Al final todos mueren 2013) and the short film Dolor, he is currently working on an animated sequel of the feature film Mortadelo y Filemón contra Jimmy el Cachondo (2014).
