(1998)
Synopsis:
his documentary film about the making of Idiots is as direct as the
feature film itself. It shows how the director, Von Trier, worked with his
actors by drawing the viewer into the middle of the creative communication
between the director and the actors. It also portrays the creative process from
the author’s perspective and through his emotional and existential crisis, by
using excerpts from Von Trier’s personal diary that he kept during the shooting
of Idiots.
