Laface lives in Reggio Calabria. He graduated in directing and screenwriting from the Laboratorio Cinema in Rome. Americacalabria (2003.), a series of five short TV films, is his first work dedicated to Italian emigrants. It won the jury’s award at the Immagini a confronto festival. Ti vedranno a Cosenza (They'll see you in Cosenza, 2005) is a film about Calabrese expatriates in Toronto. Pino La Face is the author and director of the TV show Il Gastronauta and some musical videos. In 2005, he won the film award Anassilaos Giovani. He is currently working on his new documentary, Buonanotte Australia.
