Rubio, Lopez

Clara Lopez Rubio is a Spanish director who studied cinematography in Berlin (before that she studied at a Music Academy). In 1995, she made her debut with the short film La fuente verde. In 2001, she made El Conde inglés, which won an award at the Motovun film festival for short film.

Synopsis:

This is a poetic reflection about cultural integration and the influence of media on children’s imagination. The film tells a story about a small Moroccan girl, Miriam, in a world of migrations. Her professor gives an assignment to describe one important person. Miriam chooses an English count.
