From 1993 to 1997, Lucini (born in 1967) worked as production assistant of the Super Channel London program. Simultaneously he directed many music videos for Italian musicians. In 2002, he directed a short film Il sorriso di Diana (Diana's Smile) produced by Cattely andCinecittŕ Holding. In 2003, he made his first feature film, Tre metri sopra il cielo (Three Steps Over Heaven), based on the novel by Federico Mocca.
