Luigi Maggi

Luigi Maggi was an actor and director who was educated as a typographer. He was a
successful amateur actor and soon got a job as a recruiter for film extras in
the film company Ambrosio Film. In that same year, he began acting
professionally, and in 1908, he made his debut with the feature film Gli
Ultimi giorni di Pompeii. He directed about twenty films including Il
conte di Montecristo (1908), Il granatiere Roland (1910), La
regina di Niniva (1910), Nozze d\'oro (1911), Satana (1912),
Nerone (1909), Il barbiere di Seviglia (1913), Maciste alpino
(co-director, 1916). He finished his film career in 1927.
