Marco Ponti

Ponti is an Italian screenwriter and director. He graduated in contemporary literature from the Univesity of Torino, and worked as a copywriter for some time. Over time, he became interested in writing screenplays and attended several courses in screenwriting. In addition, he published his book devoted to Quentin Tarantino. In late 1990’s he started to write screenplays for his first short films and starts to direct as well. His feature film debut was the comedy Santa Maradona (2001), which was successful and won the David di Donatello award for best new director. He also directed comedies Round Trip (A/R: Andata+ritorno, 2004), Passione sinistra (2013) and Io che amo solo te (Italija, 2015).
