Sandemose graduated in directing from the Academy for Film and Television in 1998. In that same year he directed his first short film I Killed a Cyclist, which was shown at several European film festivals. Since then he has directed hundreds of commercials in Norway and abroad and won many awards for them. As a director of feature films he made his debut in 2010 with the horror film Cold Prey 3.
