Riccardo Milani

Director
Milani is an Italian director and screenwriter. He began to work on film as assistant director to directors Nanni Moretti, Mario Monicelli and Daniele Luchetti. He made his directing debut with the comedy Auguri professore (1997) and afterwards he directed La guerra degli Antò (1999). Soon, he began directing TV films and series. He alos directed some other feature films such as the romantic comedy The Soul's Place (Il posto dell'anima, 2003), biographical drama Piano, solo (2007), comedy Benvenuto Presidente! (2013) and the romantic comedy Scusate se esisto! (2014).

Synopsis:

Serena was born in a small village but since she was an excellent student and finally doctoral studies in architecture, she moved abroad. Tired of living in foreign countries and somewhat lonely, she decides to return to Italy. However, the return is harder than she expected. Due to gender discrimination, even though she is highly educated, she fails to find a job. Soon, she decides to solve her problem with the help from her new friend Francesco with whom she forms an unusual “partnership”…...
