Miró is a Spanish director and screenwriter. She worked on several TV series before directing her first films
The Request (La Petición, 1976) and
The Cuenca Crime (El Crimen de Cuenca, 1979). From 1982 to 1985, she worked in the Spanish Ministry of Culture as the director of film. She also directed
Prince of Shadows (Beltenebros, 1992),
Your Name Poisons My Dreams (Tu nombre envenena mis sueńos, 1996) and
The Dog in the Manger (El perro del hortelano, 1996), which in 1997, won the Goya Spanish film award for the best director and adapted screenplay.
