Angelo Orlando

Angelo Orlando was born in Salerno in 1962. He is a screenwriter, director and actor in theatre, television and film. In 1994, he made his directing debut with the film L’anno prossimo vado a letto alle dieci, inspired by Andrea Pazienza’s comic books. In 1999, he wrote the screenplay for the film Tobia al caffe directed by Gianfranco Mingozziand collaborated on Enzo Monteleone’s Ormai e fatta. In 1998 he made his second film Barbara. As an actor he worked with Federico Fellini (he played Nestore in his last film La voca della luna), Nanny Loy, Maurizio Nichetti, Mario Monicelli, Enzo Decaro and Massimo Troisi (winner of the David di Donatello award for his supporting role in Troisi’s film Pensavo fosse amore invece era una calesse). In 2002, he published his book “Quasi Quattordici”.
