L'amore non ha confini, 1998). His first feature film, for which he also wrote the screenplay, was
L'uomo in piu' (One Man Up) in 2001. The film was shown in Venice and won several awards, among others
Nastro azzurro for the first film,
Ciak d'oro for the screenplay,
Grolla d'Oro for the main actor Toni Servillo and an award for Best Supporting Actress to Olivia Magnani. The same tandem, director, and actor, made the film
Le conseguenze dell'amore (The Consequences of Love) which was shown in Cannes in 2004. He is currently finishing his latest film,
L'amico di famiglia.
