Dwivedi is an Indian director. He graduated in medicine but after a few months abandoned it due to his interest in literature and film. He began working in a theatre and in the late 1990s started to work at the TV station Zee TV. He became more widely acclaimed after directing the TV series
Chanakya (1990) in which he also starred. Afterwards he directed other TV series
Mrityunjay (1996) and
Ek Aur Mahabharat (1997), and made his feature film directing debut with
Pinjar (2003). He is currently working on the historical film
Kunal Avadana.
