Recha is a self-taught director and screenwriter who never had any formal education in film. He has shot many short films and made his feature film debut with
El cielo sube in 1991. He made his next film
The Cherry Tree (L'arbre de les cireres) seven years later, and afterwards the drama
Pau i el seu germà (2001) and
Where Is Madame Catherine? (Los manos vacias, 2003). In the film
Dies d'agost (2006), he starred together with his twin brother David Recha; they both wrote the screenplay and Marc directed it. His latest film is
Little Indi (Petit indi, 2009).
