Rodríguez is a Spanish director and screenwriter (born in 1954.) who made several short films before directing her debut feature film Portrait of a Woman with a Man in the Background (Retrato de mujer con hombre al fondo, 1997). Afterwards she made Los pasos perdidos (2001).

Synopsis:

Cristina (Paulina Gálvez), a thirty-five-year-old lawyer, realizes that, for her, love is nothing but a source of suffering. Therefore, she decides to avoid love in the future. She devotes her life to her career, home and lover whom she meets only occasionally. However, one day she falls in love and the wall that she has built around her slowly starts to fall apart…
