Afdlin Shauki is a Malaysian theatre and film actor, director, screenwriter, singer and entertainer. After high school graduation, he received a scholarship to study in the US but instead chose to become a professional entertainer. He was a singer and musician, and in 2003 published his first album with the band Acid Iz. He also appeared as a stand up comedian from 2004 until 2009, and has been a TV host, actor and director since 1999. He directed, wrote the screenplays for and acted in the comedies
