Parviz Sheikhtadi

 

Director
Tadi (born in Abadan, in 1961) is an Iranian director, costume designer and art director. He began his film career in 1990 as a set designer on Ebrahim Hatamiki’s films. He worked as a costume designer and art director on Kiumars Poorahmad’s film Be khatere Hanie (1994) and Ebrahim Hatamiki’s films Moje mordeh (2001) and The Glass Agency (Ajans shisheh, 1997).
In 1997, he began writing screenplays and directed his first feature film A Notebook from the Sky/A Book From Heaven and the TV films Land of Grandfather, An Umbrella For The Director and The Feather of the Eagle. Outside of Iran he is most famous for his film for children Behind the Curtain of Fog (Posht-e pardeh-e meh, 2004).

Synopsis:

Morteza is a deaf-mute boy who lives with his mother in a village in Northern Iran. A new principal, Mr Fatahi, arrives to Morteza’s school, and soon the strict principal and the boy have a series of misunderstandings. Mr Fatahi tries to appease Morteza’s wild spirit but soon falls victim to the charms of Morteza’s beautiful and widowed mother.

Synopsis:

Nakon postizanja dogovora o prekidu vatre između Irana i Iraka, pripadnici pokretne vojne kirurške bolnice nadaju se lakšim danima. Ipak, iznenadi ih nenadani napad iračke vojske. Par liječnika pokušat će spasiti živote ranjenika radeći u nemogućim uvjetima ugrožavajući pritom i same sebe.
