Wayhudi was assistant director on the films Laut Bercermin (The Mirror Never Lies, 2011) directed by Kamila Andini and Guru Bangsa Tjokroaminoto (The Hijra, 2015) directed by Garin Nugroho. He co-directed the historical action film Gending Sriwijaya (The Song of Sriwijaya, 2013) with  Hanung Bramantyo.
