Screenwriter and director born in the USA, but grew up in Brazil. She started her career in the early 1990s directing short films. She studied cinematography at the Institute of Art and Social Communication UFF (
Universidade Federal Fluminense). Her directing debut was a TV series, after which she made the short film
Anjos Urbanos (1996). Her first feature-length was the comedy
Como Ser Solteiro (1998). After another short film and a TV series, she made feature-length comedies
Mais Uma Vez Amor (2005) and
Desenrola (2011). In addition to directing, she is an active screenwriter of television series, and her latest film is the adventure film for children
Tainá 3 - A Origem (2011).
