He started his career as a theater actor, and despite earning a degree in management he never worked in that profession. After a job with Air France and travelling the world for three years, he went to London in 1996 to study directing for film and theatre. Returning home in 1999, he started directing commercials for the production company
Film Planet. A few years later, he opened the Argentinean office of the production company Metropolis Films. In addition to many promotional films and music videos, he directed a short documentary
La Musica del Delta (2005). After two short feature films
To Daddy (A Papa, 2009) and
Who Is Echegoyen? (Quin es Echegoyen?, 2010),
The Finger (El Dedo, 2010) was his feature-length debut.
