Marco Turco

Turco (born in 1960) is a director and screenwriter. After graduating from the University La Sapienza in Rome, he attended courses of directing and screenwriting. He worked on articles and gave interviews for the daily newspaper L’Unitŕ and the magazine Movie. He was assistant director to Gianni Ameli. His first film from 1994, La sveglia, won many awards. His first feature film, Vite in sospeso, was shown in Venice outside of the competition program. He also directed several documentaries such as A Famiglia that was med in Corsica and a portrait of the director Gill Pontecorvo. He is currently working on his film La straniera.
