Alfonso Ungría

Ungría is a Spanish director, screenwriter and actor. In 1969, he made his first film, the short documentary Vida en los teleclubs. In 1971, he made his feature film debut El Hombre oculto, followed by Tirarse al monte (1971), Don Yllán, el mágico de Toledo (1973), Gulliver (1976), Soldados (Soldiers, 1978), Cuentos eróticos (Erotic Stories,1980), La Conquista de Albania (1984), África (1996) and El Deseo de ser piel roja (2002). He took part in a collective film project Hay motivo (2004), done by thirty-two Spanish directors. In his part, a three-minute film, he expressed his dissatisfaction with the social and political conditions after the terrorist attack in Madrid. Throughout his career, he made several TV mini-series, such as Cervantes (1980) and Gatos en el tejado (1987).
