Marijan Vajda

Marijan Vajda (1920, Zagreb) graduated in Zagreb with a law degree. From
1949, he worked on film, at first as a cinematographer. From 1951, he directed
short films based on his own screenplays. He directed a series of eleven tourist
films (1952-1959) and a series of six ethnographical films about folk dances
(1956 and 1961). He made three praised documentaries - Radovanov portal
(1955), Jugo (1959) and Zelene nedjelje (1959), as well as three
feature films - Zajednički stan (1960), Izbiračica (1961), Šeki
snima, pazi se
(1962). In 1963, he stopped working on film and moved abroad.
