Johanna Vuoksenmaa

Vuoksenmaa (born in 1966) is a Finnish director and screenwriter. She studied photography at the Design Institute Lahti and later directing at the University of Art and Design in Helsinki.
She made the short film Taivas tiellä (True Love Waits, 2000) and worked as a co-screenwrter and/or director on several series (Siperian Nero!, 2000; Vaimonsa mies, 2001; Paristo, 2002; Kumman Kaa, 2003; Tie Edeniin, 2003; Tahdon asia, 2005). The black comedy Nousukausi (Upswing, 2003) is her only feature film that in 2004 won the Jussi award for best film, screenplay and music.
