Synopsis:
Fifty-year-old Vitor Pratas sits in a hotel and drinks to the memory of his four co-fighters, Portuguese war veterans who fought in Africa in the 1970s. Pratas has just found out that the detective Joaquim Malarranha has died and at his funeral he reminisces about his friends from the war, their deaths and the mutual criminal history that connected them all with the deceased detective.
