Synopsis:
Inmates at a high-security prison Rebibbia in Rome prepare for a public performance of Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar." The film follows the audition, rehearsals for the play, how the prisoners learn about Shakespeare’s writings and their influence on their daily lives. They realize that the famous play about power, friendship and betrayal reflects their personal conflicts, with themselves as well as with other inmates in this closed prison system. Most actors in this film are real prisoners.
