A young and radical student, Mark, is on a run after shooting a policeman during demonstrations. He steals a plane and flies across a desert where a beautiful young woman, Daria, drives her boss’, a businessman Lee Allen, car to his desert shelter. Daria is Allen’s secretary and lover. Mark and Daria meet in a secluded wasteland and fall in love…This is an epic portrait of America in late sixties, filled with music by Pink Floyd, The Grateful Dead, The Rolling Stones, The Youngbloods, Kaleidoscope, John Fahey and Patti Page. One of the screenwriters was Sam Shepard, who is now an acclaimed actor, director and writer.
