Synopsis:
Lene marries a Nazi officer Hans. During the war Hans is away from home for a long time and finally returns home a changed man. However, Lene stays with him and, in the midst of great poverty, takes care of their daughter Anna. This story is based on the autobiography of the director’s mother, played by Eva Mattes.
